Fruit from a Cocoa Tree. We sucked the yummy stuff off the seeds.

Baby Kofi that lives at the house of Raphael's medical clinic.
Johari loved her baby Kofi time.

Baby Kofi was sick with pneumonia. Resting on mama's shoulder.

People that lived, worked, hung out at the house and medical clinic in a village outside of Kpalime.

This statue at the house took some getting used to. At first I always felt like there was someone standing there.

Photo trip of Togo

When we went up by Kpalime to visit Nawo's father's medical clinic, we were headed to see a waterfall. It happened that there was a pilgrimage to the river below the waterfall. The road there was packed with people walking to the river.

skeleton hunting

T
going on a skeleton hunt in the neighborhood
Halloween was fun. A couple of days when we were strolling around we started looking for skeletons which mainly means looking at all of the Halloween decorations on the houses. So Ishmael and Johari continued to do this for three days. That was our main Halloween outing, strolling the neighborhoods and looking for skeletons. It was fun and doesn't involve acquiring high doses of sugar! I would even push the stroller really fast from house to house and we would scream!!!! We went to 2 doors at the end to trick or treat and those small morsels of chocolate were consumed immediately en route. While were walking about looking at the decorations, Johari said, "It is a celebration!"
Johari was a pumpkin. She wore her outfit on and off all day long. It was nice and snuggly on a chilly fall day. She would say, "I want to do Halloween now." And then we would get her costume on her. In the morning time she told me that I was Barack Obama and that she was my wife. So sometimes this pretend role play would come back up through the day. If I called her something else, she would say, "No. I am wife."
