skeleton hunting
T
Halloween was fun. A couple of days when we were strolling around we started looking for skeletons which mainly means looking at all of the Halloween decorations on the houses. So Ishmael and Johari continued to do this for three days. That was our main Halloween outing, strolling the neighborhoods and looking for skeletons. It was fun and doesn't involve acquiring high doses of sugar! I would even push the stroller really fast from house to house and we would scream!!!! We went to 2 doors at the end to trick or treat and those small morsels of chocolate were consumed immediately en route. While were walking about looking at the decorations, Johari said, "It is a celebration!"
Johari was a pumpkin. She wore her outfit on and off all day long. It was nice and snuggly on a chilly fall day. She would say, "I want to do Halloween now." And then we would get her costume on her. In the morning time she told me that I was Barack Obama and that she was my wife. So sometimes this pretend role play would come back up through the day. If I called her something else, she would say, "No. I am wife."

that is a great way to avoid the sugar and sounds like so much more fun than traditional door knocking for candies.
i'm in love with all of the kid costumes that are cool weather friendly. johari looks gorgeous!
Johari makes a cute pumpkin! She says such amazing things like, "you are Barack and I am your wife." She seems so observant and keen with great imagination. I wonder what she will say after your Africa trip???
